I think this is existential presupposition, because hmmm we can make an assumption based on the text "if the pandemic ends soon" we can presuppose that there is a pandemic or the pandemic is exist and "we can continue doing our normal activities again" presuppose that the activities not normal while pandemic exist. ihiy

I think is Counterfactual Presupposition, because based on your paper Conterfactual Presupposition is the assumption that what is presupposed is not only untrue, but is the opposite of what is true, or contrary to facts.Then, some conditional structures called conterfactual conditional. Here, "If the pandemic ends soon, we can continue doing our normal activities again" is conditional stucture and the fact is the pandemic will not end soon, no one knows when it will end soon, so we cannot continue doing our normal activities again. Because based on the understanding that I read in the paper, that counterfactual presupposition is an assumption that what is assumed is incorrect or contrary to facts. Looking at the example sentence above, "If the pandemic ends soon, we can continue doing our normal activities again". In the example there is the word 'If' which means a presupposition in which the facts are not true or contrary to the facts. Where we do not know whether the pandemic will end soon or not.

I think is Counterfactual Presupposition. Because when viewed from the definition of Counterfactual Presupposition is the assumption that what is presupposed is not only untrue, but is the opposite of what is true, or contrary to facts. In my opinion the above sentence is counterfactual presupposition. Because, that counterfactual presupposition is an assumption a conditional statement in which the first clause is a past tense subjunctive statement expressing something contrary to fact. Looking at the sentence "If the pandemic ends soon, we can continue doing our normal activities again". In the example sentence use the word "If" and it shows that it can happen or it can't happen.

According to the article I read and in my opinion, Entailment in the relationship between speech and its intentions is absolute. That is, everything that is spoken through sentences or writings must always be followed by logic. Then the absolute concept of entailment exists because of a sentence that follows each other; then the truth of the sentence must remain stable.

And the sentence is in accordance with the definition because is just assumption and it is contrary to the fact because the pandemic is not over yet and we don't know when it will end. And there is Counterfactual conditional that is used if clauses (wish) and embedded clause after wish. BalasHapusI think that sentence is Entailment, why? because as i know entailment is naturally logic and less discussed. That sentence is logic because like an example the pandemic of Covid-19. Before there is a pandemic, we can do our activities normally meanwhile after there is a pandemic we cannot do our activities normally. Our activities are limited, also if we want to buy our daily needs or something we should protect our body one of that is by using mask and do physical distancing. So, it is logic if that sentence said that after the pandemic over, we can do our activities normally. I think that is from me, thank you :)
